Installing Adobe Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat is a means of distributing documents electronically. Once you have the software installed, you can view Acrobat files (known as PDF or Portable Document Format) on the screen and print as many copies as you like on your own printer. The Acrobat reader software that you need is completely FREE.

There are versions of Acrobat for all major computer platforms including all versions of Windows, Macintosh and Unix.

Acrobat on CD
One way to get hold of Acrobat is to find it on one of the CDs that come on the cover of computer magazines. This is convenient and saves you downloading the file across the internet.

Acrobat on the www
If you want Acrobat right NOW, or don't live near a newsagents, you can download it from Adobe's www site by clicking the button below. This will open a new browser window showing Adobe's Acrobat Reader download page. Just follow the instructions on the screen.
